The Monday Connection building on the Bruce Square suffered some damage from a roof fire Tuesday night.
Bruce, Banner and Chickenbone fire departments responded to the call around 8:30 p.m. Fire was never visible from the square, but smoke was rising from the front edge of the roof when firemen arrived on scene.
Firemen and building owner John Edward Brasher cut a hole in the roof to reach the fire and quickly extinguished it. The Money Connection office on the first floor received very minor damage.
The cause of the fire was not known.
