Antonio Tarrell, of Oxford and a native of Bruce, is the new education director at Composure Hair Care, Tupelo.
As part of his position, he will direct and shape the curricula and teaching process for Composure Hair Care. His duties will involve research and design of educational materials and instructional methods, also mentoring new educators, teaching workshops, seminars, trade shows and observing educators in classroom and on the trade floor.
Antonio has been a salon owner and operator for more than 24 years. He is the inventor of curve comb– DACurve by Antonio Tarrell .
He has been a guest educator at hair shows in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Florida, Las Vegas, Texas and more.
Antonio was also the featured “Launch Pad” educator for Premiere Orlando (Florida). Very few African American stylists are selected to be included in the Launch Pad section, normally major companies such as Paul Mitchell, Redken, Matrix, Sam Villa and others are featured Launch Pad educators.
He was also former Northern Region President (first male president) of the Mississippi Independent Beautician and Barbers Association and was recognized by the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology to give Board Approved CE’s.
Antonio is also enrolled at Full Sail University, Digital Cinematography program and is scheduled to graduate in September.
