The SEEK students have had lots and lots of projects in their time, and this one, like all others, is unique in its own way.
This time their project is the study of Elvis Presley and the history of Rock and Roll music.
On April 5, they will take a trip to Memphis to visit places Elvis went and to see monuments of Elvis. They are also experiencing activities Elvis did when he was young.
“We will be studying Elvis and Graceland. We will have a little fun and make Elvis bobble heads, and one of my grades will make a model of Graceland and recreate some of the rooms.” said SEEK teacher Jody Clark.
The students will experience an Elvis tour and an airplane tour.
They will have an hour-long Mississippi Riverboat cruise, and on the way back home, they will stop at Sky Zone to have some fun.
“It has been really fun to learn about music, how we got the music we listen to today, and how it was started. I am also very excited for the trip,” said eighth grade student Landry Dishman.
Jody Clark’s SEEK classes created Elvis bobble heads as a project while they learned about the history of Rock and Roll music.
