The Bruce High School library is attempting to purchase a set of Chromebooks or laptops for the school year.
“I am hoping for a classroom set,” said BHS librarian Beth Palmer.
The Bruce Fine Arts Council is donating money they collected from spring fundraisers.

“Since the computer labs stay booked, having a classroom set of Chromebooks or laptops would offer an extra place for classes to go for research and projects,” Palmer said.
The library is not just a place to go check out books anymore. It has evolved into a media center where students access more than printed sources.

In today’s time, information is mostly found online, and technology such as Chromebooks helps move the library into the 21st Century direction of today’s learners.
“My hope for the library is that it becomes a place where teachers can bring their classes to not only check-out AR books, but also to conduct research and create projects. Acquiring a classroom set of Chromebooks or laptops is the first step in obtaining that goal.”
