Bobo easily wins district one supervisor race

Charles Bobo, of Calhoun City, was elected district one supervisor Tuesday night with 67% of the vote.

Bobo, who has been serving as supervisor on an interim basis after being appointed by the board following the resignation of Ernest Fox, collected 402 votes.
Joey Jones, of Bruce, came in second with 168 votes. Tom Terry of Pittsboro finished third with 26 votes.
These results are unofficial. The election will likely be certified later this week.
