Bruce Upper Elementary School is donating money to the Michael Williams family.
They are selling turkey feathers for 25c apiece. The money raised will be donated to the family members that were involved in the recent wreck.
Each teacher has a turkey on their door, bulletin board, or wall. Once a feather is bought, the students can either leave it black or add some words to it before putting it on the turkey.
Dorian Redwine left a message saying his family was praying for theirs.

Many other messages were left by the children, saying they were praying and that they love them.
One student, Mattie Grace Hawkins, has bought a total of 36 feathers. She has left messages telling the family she loves them and she hopes they get to ride their horses again.
“We know them and they are very good friends of mine,” Mattie Grace Hawkins said.

They began selling the feathers at the beginning of November and will continue selling them until after Christmas.
During the first week of selling the feathers, they raised around $64. During the second week, they collected $84, and this week they raised around $120.
The class that sells the most feathers will be given a prize.
