Derma board of aldermen agreed to hire Steve Faddock as the chief of police as their regular board meeting last night.

Faddock has been serving as interim chief since the resignation of former Chief Stan Evans in October.
The board agreed to pay to send him to the police academy to get certified.
They also agreed to send him to Chief of Police Winter Conference in Starkville in December and New Police Chief Training in Ridgeland in January.
Faddock agreed to serve at minimum until the end of this board term.
The board also approved:
•BBI Software agreement for $5,540 and anti-virus hardware for $1,900.
•Renewing CD for fire department $16,741.90 plus interest.
Clerk Deneen James reported bad debts to the board– Eat Tacos LLC and Floyd Dale Griffin.
The next board meeting will be Monday, Jan. 2. City Hall will be closed December 25-26 for Christmas and January 1 for New Year’s.
