SEEK students enjoy New York City trip

Bruce SEEK classes of Jody Clark and Denise Hall went on a trip to New York City recently.
Ninety-four people went on the six day trip.
srr NY SEEKWhile there, students and chaperones saw many iconic sights from the Statue of Liberty to the World Trade Center.
They loaded the bus November 8 and the last stop for the day was in Harrisburg, Va., where they spent the night.

They from made it to New York around 1 p.m.  Thursday where they met their guide.
They went on a tour around Madison Square Garden and on a Central Park Tour.
After checking in at their hotel Sheraton New York, they went to see the Broadway play Aladdin, where they saw one of the voice actors who played  “Jafar” in the movie.

They went to the Today Show Friday at 6 a.m. and later to the Radio City Music Hall.
After that tour, they went to the 911 Memorial and Museum, and then stopped at the famous Ellen’s Star Dust Cafe for dinner.
On Saturday some of the tourists walked halfway across the Brooklyn Bridge. Afterwards they took a ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

That afternoon they went to Chinatown where customers barter for prices.
They later traveled to the Empire State Building and went to the observation deck.
After checkout on Sunday, they went shopping on 5th Avenue. Departure from New York was at 2 p.m. with arrival back in Bruce the next morning.
