The Bruce High School Band sells calendars every year to those wanting to support the program and its members.
The calendar displays a group picture of the band, as well as advertisements from local businesses.
Each student receives their form in the month of September.
The calendars sell for $7 and can have 10 different listings, such as birthdays and anniversaries.
Selling these calendars helps with each student’s “fair share”, or fees that they owe.
“My mom helped me sell to my family because it was easier to sell to my relatives,” said Abigail Maddox. She also tried to sell to take money off her fair share dues.
“I feel that since I’m in the band I should do my share and help out as much as I can,” said Jersey Ferguson, who also had her mom help her sell to her family.
“It is a good fundraiser to help raise money for the kids,” said band director Jon Bland.
