Bruce Chamber of Commerce President Theresa Nicks told the group Monday that she was thrilled with the participation of local businesses with the scarecrows they had created.
“I’m so excited,” she said. “Becky Wright and I got the idea when driving through Laurel last fall where they had similar decor and thought that would work for Bruce.”
More than 30 businesses have made scarecrows and more are on the way, she said. Out of town judges will be judging the scarecrows Thursday.
Nicks expressed appreciation top all the businesses for their participation.
“It’s been awesome,” she said. “It makes me proud to live here.”
