Bruce and Calhoun City High School bands both have advanced to state competition next week.
The bands participated in the Region II Marching Band Evaluation Saturday at Grenada High School.
Both bands received all ones in drum major, percussion, color guard and band.
Only bands receiving all ones quality for state. State Marching Band Championship is next Saturday, Oct. 27 at Pearl High School.
Bruce and Calhoun City are among 10 band competing in Region II.
Calhoun City, under the direction of Dustin Thrasher and Justin Parks, will perform at 3:15 p.m.
Bruce, under the direction of Cody Roberts and Corey Young, will compete at 5 p.m.
