Derma to advertise sewer project

Derma board of aldermen voted to advertise their sewer grant and to purchase a new computer for city hall at the regular meeting of the board last night.

The board approved allowing the sewer project engineer to advertise the $450,000 project for a pump station pending approval from DEQ.
Mayor Dock Gabbert said city hall currently has a 2008 and 2010 computer in use. The board approved purchase of a computer and installation from BBI for $1,001.65.

Clerk Deneen Russell said three had been added to the bad debt list– Evelyn Mays, Elizabeth Walls and Elizabeth Rachel Willis.
They also approved upcoming municipal clerk training for town clerk Deneen James and rural water association conference for town employee Shane Childs.

Alderwoman Kendra Mays was not at the meeting.
City hall will be closed Monday, Feb. 17 for President’s Day. The next meeting of the board is Tuesday, Mar. 4.
