Friendships are very important to many students at BHS. As the school year dwindles down, friendships do not.
Seniors are making plans to live with their best friend in college, and others are making plans for the summer with their best friend.
As many seniors prepare to part ways with other friends and their fellow classmates, they plan to spend the rest of their lives with their best friend.
“I became friends with Lacee Schmitz in seventh grade. I knew right when I met her that we would be friends forever only because of the way that we connected, and the way I connected with her family. Lacee has given me so much joy in my life and has given me so many memories that I will cherish forever. In the beginning of our friendship we never communicated about ‘the deep stuff’, but now we do and we have established a very strong trusting relationship with each other. My life would be extremely boring and dark without Lacee. She has made my high school years a dream,” said Kinley Gregg, a senior at BHS.
Lori Leachman and Taylor Brooke White have been best friends for years now.
“Taylor and I became friends at the beginning of 6th grade. When we first became friends, I believed she was just another friendship I would have, but now our special connection with each other is stronger than ever. Taylor Brooke has made me happier and she helps me to be less stressed and worried. Over the years, we have gotten way closer and have both realized we have the same interests. My life without Taylor would be lonely and boring, but I’m so glad to have her in my life,” said Leachman.
Ma’Kaiya Venson and Kiahra Pinson have a special friendship, but with a lot more attitude.
“Kaiya and I became friends in fourth grade and when you’re at that age, you believe all your friendships will last forever. Becoming friends with Kaiya brought a light in my life that I didn’t have before. She pushes me to be smart and kind, without even trying. She has always been someone I can talk to no matter what the subject of the conversation is. When we were younger, we were inseparable.
Now that we’re older, we have our own lives, but we still remain close friends. Even though we don’t talk daily, our friendship is stronger than ever. Without Kaiya, my life would definitely be dull. I can’t imagine my life without her and her hilarious personality,” said Kiahra Pinson, a sophomore at BHS.
As many of these friendships progress, many more friendships will form at BHS in the years to come.
Best friends will always be there to give advice or help us through any problems.
