Lots of entertainment planned at SquareFest in Calhoun City

The 49th annual SquareFest in Calhoun City opens Friday, May 24 with two days of fun planned on the town square.
“We’re looking forward to a great time and invite everyone to come out and enjoy being on the square,” Chamber of Commerce President Laura Edwards said.
Friday night entertainment will feature the “Wrecking Ball Crew” with Danny Paul Griffin and Tony Parker and the Spratlin Family performing from 6-8:30 p.m.
Some vendors will be set up as well in addition to a number of kids’ games.

The full scale arts and crafts festival will kick off Saturday morning at 8 a.m.
The Methodist Men will also host their annual pancake breakfast in the Methodist Corner that morning.
Live music will be featured in the gazebo throughout the day Saturday.
The annual Pryor Funeral Home Memorial Day observance with the traditional balloon release will take place on the square this year at 10 a.m.
Edwards said the festival will also feature a wide assortment of food vendors, along with Pomegranate Nursery and other traditional vendors, as well as some newcomers.

Friday, May 25
6 p.m. Festival begins
6-8:30 p.m. “The Wrecking Ball Crew” and Spratlin Family.

Saturday, May 26
6 a.m. Pancake Breakfast
8 a.m. Festival Opens
9 a.m. Estha Mae Parker and Friends.
10 a.m. Pryor Funeral Home’s Service of Remembrance and Balloon Release.
10:30 a.m. Lost Tyme performs
11:15 a.m. Spratlin Family
12 p.m. Mitchell Johnson – “Reflections of a King.”
1:30 p.m. Jess Moore and Good Times Express
