Absentee Ballots are now available for the Aug. 6 Republican and Democratic primaries.
Voters over the age of 65 and voters who are temporarily or permanently disabled are eligible to request an absentee through the mail.
In office absentee ballots for voters who will be out of the county on election day or voters who will be at work during the election day are available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the Circuit Clerk’s office.
The Circuit Clerk’s office will be open on Saturday, July 6, July 27, and Aug. 3 from 8 a.m. until noon.
The Voter Registration deadline to be eligible to participate in the Aug. 6 primaries is July 8 at 5 p.m.
If voters have moved recently, the voter can update their voter information at the Circuit Clerk’s office. Voters also can go to www.sos.ms.gov/Vote to determine if they are registered to vote and submit updated address information to the local Circuit Clerk’s office through this website.
When voting in the primaries, voters must choose which party ballot, Republican or Democrat, they want to vote.
