A number of submitted reports and paying bills constituted the bulk of the January meeting of the Calhoun City board of aldermen.

Items approved included:
•Public Works Director Lee Burns said they had been working at the lagoon.
•Nick Doles and Josh Miller were reappointed as Park and Rec Activities Operations Director and Activities Administrator.
•Payments to Chamber for promotional expenses for Egg Bowl Run and Christmas parade.
•Payment for Hurricane Creek Stabilization project and closeout on ARC Hurricane Creek sewer line stabilization.
•Authorization to contract with Municipal Intercept Company for Local Debt Collection Setoff Program.
•Travel for town officials to attend spring and summer conferences.
