Mt. Liberty News – Tried to make school return fun with mask

Well I pray everyone one had a great week. This is our first week back to school. Things sure looked different.
I enjoyed seeing all the pictures on Facebook of the new back to school look, masks and all. We had a little fun with it ourselves.

Emily started 6th grade this year. We took some pictures with and without the mask, then a fun little picture with mask and sanitizer. I figured if we made it fun it’d be a little easier for her going back in such uncertain times.
I think it’s important to try to remain calm during all this. We’ve been affected all the way around by the pandemic.

We’ve seen people we love get it, we’ve been quarantined ourselves because of exposure.
Churches have changed protocol and the schools as well. It’s important to still have fun. If she sees me stressing, she’s going to stress. I know God has a plan and it will be perfect. This is just a speed bump to something greater.
Bro. Terry brought us a wonderful message Sunday morning from Luke 19:1-10.
In the message we talked about what to do when Jesus calls you down?
You either bring him in or you send him on. Who is Jesus to you?
Are there too many things between you and Jesus?

Do you want Jesus to come into your house?
Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus, but couldn’t because of the crowd. How many times do things get in our way of seeing Jesus?
He didn’t have the gospel like we have. He had heard of what Jesus had done straight on. Something had pulled him to seek Jesus. He ran and climbed up a sycamore tree knowing Jesus would be passing that way.
Jesus tells him to come down, that he was going to abide in his house (v.5). Like us, Zacchaeus had a choice. Would he reject Him, or would he accept Him and invite Him in?

He made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully (v.6). When God is calling you down, it’s time to come down. Don’t wait. Come when He calls on you. Zacchaeus received Him publicly.
The crowd murmured just like they do today. But Zacchaeus confessed his sins (v.8). He believed that Jesus is Lord. He seemed him, accepted him, and confessed his sins to him.
And Jesus told him that day salvation came to his house (v.9). Jesus came to seek the lost, and to save them (v.10).
I pray everyone continues to have a blessed week. If you’re looking for a home church, we invite you to join us at Mt. Liberty. Services begin at 11. We love you all and may God bless your week.
