All children who will begin either K4 or K5 for the first time in August should enroll for classes during the special K4 – K5 Pre-Registration Day Wednesday, Apr. 16, from 4-6 p.m.
Registration will be conducted at Bruce Elementary School, Calhoun City Elementary School and Vardaman Elementary School.
This enrollment is only for children who will be new to school. Children who are already enrolled in either K4 or K5 do not need to register since their school records are already on file.
Children who will attend CCSD Kindergarten programs must be eligible under State Laws:
•K4 students must be four (4) years old on or before September 1, 2014.
•K5 students must be five (5) years old on or before September 1, 2014.
All new students must have the following documents:
•Certified Birth Certificate
•Social Security Card
•Immunization “Certificate of Compliance” from the Health Department
•Two proofs of residence with the E911 address listed (E911 form, filed homestead exemption forms, mortgage documents or property deed, home or apartment lease, typed rental agreement, utility bills, automobile registration, renter’s or home owner’s insurance, driver’s license, voter’s precinct identification)
K4 enrollment will be limited to the first 40 students that register with all required documents.
Teachers will answer questions and provide assistance in obtaining the required documents.
