In the September/October issue of “Good Old Days” magazine is an interesting article by Mrs. Richard (Carol) Easley of Calhoun City. The title, “The Snake Bark.”

The contents of the article centers around a family pet “Dan” a dog that nearly died following a snake bite.
After recovery from the snake attack, Dan would kill every snake he saw.
Prior to a snake kill, the dog would bark in a special voice tone, indicating his discovery of the reptile.
Pictured in the writeup is the late Bill Barnett, Carol’s dad, and old Dan.
Thanks to cousin Rachel Reynolds for my Sunday restaurant meal.
Sympathy to all bereaved including the family of Sue Moore, Jackie Peden, Joe Hopkins, Kathy Ferguson and Frank Nix.
