The weekend was beautiful to take AG on his rides. Saturday we checked out Eastern part of MS and saw the beautiful, older homes in Aberdeen.
Sunday we headed Northeast and enjoyed the colors up that way. It was a long day for us, but am just glad I’m able to drive for us and get him out.
The first part of December is going to busy, busy. Starting off the day/night of Saturday, Dec. 5 will be a Christmas Bazaar in downtown Vardaman from 8 AM until PM, hosted by Kim Kendall and Candy Huffman.
They report there will be arts and crafts, handmade/homemade items, Christmas decor, food, etc.
Sounds like this will be a great time to find those Christmas gifts you haven’t bought yet. I’m never one to do my shopping early, so this will be a good time for me.
In just a little over a couple weeks, the Calhoun City Chamber of Commerce will host the 2nd Annual ABC Bingo Fundraiser.
It will start at 4:30 PM and last until the Christmas Parade starts at 7 PM Saturday, Dec. 5.
This will be held in the Methodist Corner. Bingo cards are $1 each, very nice re-gifted items from members “Attics, Basements & Closets”, a great way to support recycling.
They ask you to come out prior to the parade and support the CC Chamber. There will be a decision about the building capacity at a later time. Will try to keep you updated as I hear more.
Saturday night Dec. 5, as mentioned above, will be the Calhoun City Christmas Parade. It will start rolling at 7 PM from the football field to the Square, to the red light, up to the Vo-Tech, over to Regions Bank, and back to the Square and return to the starting point.
This year’s theme is “Heroes of Our Heart”. You can contact the Chamber office for applications and more information.
You must submit an application and there is no fee to enter the parade.
When you are out and about searching for gifts to give, I know the no-kill shelters we have in our county would appreciate any “gifts” you pass out to them.
With winter coming on, check with Rose Wells at Dog Lovers League in Bruce and Melissa Whitten at Saving Paws Rescue, Calhoun City and ask what they need to help in sheltering the fur babies they have.
Please pray for the ones that you know are sick or having other medical issues. We have so many with the Covid-19 virus in our county, and I pray they will get well soon.
Sympathy and prayers for the families of Doris Rogers, Gloria Campbell, Rose Chandler, and Sammie Hardin. Prayers for comfort during this trying time.
Each will be missed by all that knew them and loved them.
