Calhoun City Elementary students in Laurie Denley’s class have each written a Christmas story, one of which will be published.
A panel of judges will determine the winner along with a student illustrator that will be announced at the Octoberfest celebration Oct. 30 on the Calhoun City square. The winning student will also participate in a book signing during the Christmas parade Dec. 6 with children’s book author Whitney White, of Big Creek, who has assisted with the writing project.
