Fall Festivals will take place on the Bruce and Calhoun City Squares this week with a variety of games, costume contests, concessions and even a pep rally.
Calhoun City’s Octoberfest will open Thursday, Oct. 30 with Trunk-or-Treat starting at 5 p.m. and the costume contest following at 6 p.m.
Among the many games will be “Zeus” the mechanical bull. There will also be plenty of concessions available.
The festivities will lead into a pep rally for the Wildcat football team at 7:30 p.m.

Bruce’s Fall Festival will be Friday, Oct. 31 on the Bruce Square from 6-8 p.m.
There is no Bruce football game Friday night. The Fall Festival is sponsored by the local civic clubs and will feature “Trunk-or-Treat,” two “big” jumpers, face painting, a costume contest, lots of children’s games and concessions. In case of rain the event will move inside the Bruce Museum.
