Calhoun City native G. C. Lee is offering copies of his father’s book – “The First 40 Years of a Boy Preacher” – for minimal cost.

The book was originally published by Rev. George C. Lee, Sr., of Calhoun City, in 1949. The 58 page book provided an overall view of his ministry from 1909-1949.
Rev. Lee printed 200 copies and sold them for 50 cents each.
“I think he ended up giving most of them away,” Lee said.

“My father was a pioneer Free Will Baptist minister. He served numerous churches in the Pontotoc and Lee county area,” Lee said. “His signature  pastorate was at New Gauley church where he pastored from 1909 until his retirement.”
Lee has reprinted his father’s book and is now offering it to the public via mail.

“The book will be sent to anyone who wants a copy but I am not asking for a set price,” Lee said. “Anyone who  wishes a copy can simply send me any amount of money to help with the printing and mailing.”

His address is:
