The Calhoun Academy Science Fair for fourth through twelfth grades will be held Jan. 28.
Some of the students were asked to explain their projects. Regan Hubbard’s project is testing to see if people use the left side or right side of their brain more.
Michael Jones is testing to see how far the human eye can see unaided and accurately.
Lindsey Hubbard is testing to see if black and white pictures cause you to have different emotions rather than colored pictures, and Aubrey Schmitz is testing to see if chewing gum while testing will increase your score.
The first and second place winners in seventh-twelfth grades will go to the District Science Fair in Starkville.
