The back wall of the Bruce Museum is covered with pictures of graduating classes from Bruce dating back to 1947, but they hope with community help to add many more.
The museum retrieved all the class composites from a storage facility at Bruce High School for the purpose of displaying them. bruce class museumAmong those on display are 1947, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1962, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1985, 1988 and 1989.
Others were in too bad a condition to be displayed while many more are missing entirely.

“We’ve had some classes put together a new composite for us to hang and several are working to get their’s repaired,” said Joel McNeece with the Bruce Museum Committee. “But we have so many years that we have no picture at all for. Those we are seeking help in finding or possibly replacing so that they can be represented in the museum building.”
The 1964 graduating class of North Calhoun High School also provided a composite for display in the museum.
“That is the only composite we have right now from North Calhoun, but we would certainly welcome them all,” McNeece said. “We want all graduates from Bruce represented in the museum.”

The museum has most of the class composites from the 1990s as well.
“It’s impossible for us to display every single class at the same time, but we would like to have them all for all years so we could regularly rotate them out and certainly have requested classes on display for groups renting the facility,” McNeece said. “Class reunions are among the most frequent events the museum hosts.”
Anyone willing to provide assistance in getting a composite of their graduating class for the museum may call the Bruce Chamber of Commerce at 983-2222.
