An undetermined amount of drugs was taken in a break-in at Fred’s Pharmacy in Calhoun City around 4 a.m. Tuesday.
Sheriff Greg Pollan said Calhoun City police were the first on the scene when an alarm alerted them to the breakin.
Security footage show two people in the pharmacy wearing hoods, masks and gloves.
They gained entry by sawing a hole in the back wall of the store with a grinder.
Pollan said they attempted to gain access to the safe with the grinder, where other drugs were stored, but were unsuccessful.
Fred’s Pharmacy is inside the Fred’s store on Hwy. 8 between Calhoun City and Derma. The pharmacy is in the back of the store on the north wall.
Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics is assisting in the case.
