The first week of election qualifying for Calhoun County School Board has concluded with one one signing up thus far.

Brad Logan
Brad Logan, of Bruce, qualified to run for the district three seat on the first day of qualifying. That seat was most recently held by Bubba Weeks, who resigned the position and has moved to Oxford. Bruce Mayor Rudy Pope has been appointed to serve in the role until the November election is complete.
District four is also on the November ballot. Precious Thompson currently represents that district but won't be seeking re-election in that district due to recently moving to a house in district one.
Qualifying ends Sept. 7.
