The annual Sweet Potato Harvest Banquet will be held Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Front Porch on Main Street in Vardaman.
The meal will be done by Charlie’s Catering and will be served at 6:30. Awards presented this year will include Tater Boy, Mama Grace, Pioneer and Young Farmer of the Year.
All sweet potato queens and kings will be recognized as well as the sweet potato recipe contest winners.
The entertainment will be provided by Pinson Square – a southern country/blues band from Houston. The band was formed in 2018 and inspired by artists like Chris Stapleton, Marshall Tucker, and The Allman Brothers Band.
Members include Clint Blissard (vocals, keyboard,acoustic), Casey Lancaster (rhythm,lead guitar), Tyler Pettit (lead,slide guitar), Eric Smith (drums) and Curtis Cunningham (bass).
