U.S. Sen. Cindy-Hyde Smith carried Calhoun County with 66% of the vote and won statewide with 54% in her race against Mike Espy in Tuesday's runoff.
Hyde-Smith carried Calhoun 2,902-1,449 in unofficial results from Tuesday night.
In the chancery court runoff, Larry Little of Oxford carried Calhoun with 2,269 votes (55%), compared to 1,820 (45%) for Sarah J. Liddy of Holly Springs. District wide, Little won the race with 54% of the vote to become Calhoun County's next chancery court judge.
Voter turnout in Calhoun County for the runoff was 47%.
