The summer reading programs at the Jesse Yancy Memorial Library in Bruce will begin next week.

JYML’s summer program is A Universe of Stories, which coincides with NASA’s over 60 years of achievement, and celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo moon landing.
A range of public programs is available to children (0-4 years), (5-8 years), (9-12 years), teens 13+, and adults.
Monday and Tuesday events include a nutrition class by Dr. David Holben, Ole Miss and the Farm-to-YOUth! Food Education Program, along with lunch served to those in attendance. Family Nights will be every Tuesday, May 28 through June 25 at the Square Theater in Bruce.
The program opens with Animal Tales on May 28 at 6 p.m. Magic Mr. Nick will be the guest for the June 4 program at 6 p.m. The June 11 program features Dorian LaChance. Stormin’ Swanson will present the June 18 program.
The final program, Look Up To The Stars, will begin at a later time, 7 p.m., and participants will be able to look through a telescope set up outside.
