The Calhoun County Fair opens next week at the fairgrounds in Pittsboro.
The first events will be the swine and beef shows at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. respectively next Tuesday, July 23.
The goat show will be July 24 at 1:30 p.m. and that is the day the carnival rides will open for the first time.
Thursday, July 25 will feature the 4-H potluck supper and biscuit making demo both beginning at 5 p.m. The pet show will be at 6 p.m., youth rodeo at 6:30 p.m. and pig scramble at 7 p.m.
Friday will feature barrel racing and team roping. Saturday will include the pony pull at noon with the PCA Rodeo at 7 p.m.
Armbands will be available each night from 6-10 p.m.
