The Calhoun County School Board held a special called meeting last Friday night to address an issue reportedly involving Calhoun City girls’ basketball coach Rob Fox.
School Board President Will Fleming said no formal action was taken by the board other than to hear information presented to them in executive session and to agree for Asst. Supt. Jeff Patton to lead an investigation into the matter.
Coach Rob Fox has been placed on administrative leave in the meantime for “violations of professional conduct” while the investigation takes place. The alleged incident reportedly involves a fight between two of his basketball players.
No further comment was available from the school district office. No timetable was available for the length of the investigation.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the school board is Monday, Jan. 27.
