Rachel Reynolds works as the new secretary for Bruce Elementary School.
This will be her first year of serving in this position. Before this she worked as a Computer Lab Aide for 11 1/2 years at Bruce Upper Elementary School.
As secretary, she will be required to perform bookkeeping, ordering supplies, and general record keeping.
She obtained a Bachelor in University Studies from the University of Mississippi after three years.
She attended Bruce High School and later studied at Northwest Community College for three years.
Reynolds was asked for career advice for students wishing to pursue a career path similar to her own, and she said, “Make sure you get up every day and enjoy what you do. If you do not enjoy your job, you will be miserable every day and it’s never too late to make a career change.”
She was also asked about the benefits she received from her line of work.
“I was able to be with my kids while they were in school and able to be out of school when they were. I love being around children and helping them grow into good citizens. I work with some amazing teachers, administrators and assistants, and have made many valuable friends over the years,” she said.
