Public Works Director Perry Goodson told the Calhoun City Board of Aldermen at their regular meeting last night that work has begun on repairing potholes in the street. He said sunny weather and the “good stuff” (good mix) is allowing the repairs to hold.
Alderwoman Barbara Goodson said she has talked with Supervisor Barney Wade and they are ready to help them with the paving. She asked if the city could start now.
Mayor J.R. Denton said the work will begin with the potholes on Susan Circle in Ball subdivision. However, he said that a metal culvert will have to be put down first.
They approved payment on the Water Pollution Control Revolving Loan Fund contingent upon receipt of funds to Greenbrier DSLP, $122,809.95 and to Willis Engineering for $14,350.

In other action they:
•gave approval for the city clerk to renew the library CD (Robinson Estate) for another three months;
•approved the revised personnel management guidelines;
•approved the Mississippi Municipal Liability Plan with no changes.
